South Australian cricket captain Graham Manou has made the difficult decision to postpone the Tour de Heart for 2009 so that he can better focus on pursuing national cricket honours.

Following one of his best first-class seasons, Graham made the decision to postpone his annual charity bike trek to give himself every chance to be available for national duties, specifically an Ashes tour, should the opportunity arise.

Soon after making the decision about the 2009 Tour de Heart, Graham's dreams were realised when he was both awarded a Cricket Australia contract and included in the 16-man Ashes squad for the 2009 series.

The 30-year-old said that is was a heart-wrenching decision because the Tour de Heart is a project he is commited to long term.

Graham is commited to raising awareness of heart conditions, having lived with a hole in his heart his entire life.
